Description
Discovery Routes developed a 9.8 km section of the Trans Canada Trail in the southwest corner of the Municipality of Callander. The project was a major undertaking as it involved a variety of terrain in a remote, rural setting. It took more than 5 years to plan, develop and build the Trail. The project was made possible with the support of numerous community partners and volunteers as well as financial support from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation and the Trans Canada Trail Foundation. Today, the much of the trail forms part of the official OFSC designated snowmobile trail network.
